Submission Summary
Since the outbreak of covid-19, the Chinese government has performed its duties and made every effort to prevent and control the epidemic. In the fight against covid-19, we have learned that the construction of livable cities plays a positive role in the prevention and control of the epidemic. At the same time, the development of the epidemic also puts forward new requirements for the construction of livable cities. We reviewed and reflected on the construction of livable city in Jiangsu province, and summarized some new cognition and experiences. The primary concern in building a livable city is public safety. Only under the premise of security can the common people truly experience the happiness and warmth of life. The positive effect of the construction of livable cities on the prevention and control of the epidemic is reflected in the following aspects: Firstly, community governance is an important barrier for the prevention and control of the epidemic. Under the leadership of party building, China has carried out "grid" precise layout. The information platform builds a "barrier" for epidemic prevention and control, and establishes a proactive, accurate and integrated intelligent epidemic prevention system. The community worked together and overcome the difficult times. Secondly, the temporary closed management of residential areas is appropriate to effectively isolate the epidemic. Finally, the public service facilities in livable blocks are distributed in a balanced way, effectively guaranteeing the living supply of residents in special periods. The development of the epidemic has a new impact on the construction of livable cities in Jiangsu province. In the future, the construction of livable cities in Jiangsu province should focus on the following aspects: First of all, the construction of urban underground pipe network system should be emphasized to ensure the health and safety of the city. Secondly, the urban material dispatch and management system should be open and transparent. The system platform allocates data and relevant personnel, so as to realize the accurate deployment of the government's epidemic prevention forces. Finally, the urban public security information platform is built to provide accurate information support for the community to perform home observation and control services through data collection and monitoring on the platform. It is hoped that the exploration and practice of Jiangsu province in the construction of livable city and urban epidemic prevention will provide some useful experience and reference for the epidemic prevention work in the global region.
